So, what do we know about these three episodes? Well, Episode 7 is a stand-alone adventure, while 8&9 are a two parter. Episode 7 will air on May 15th, Episode 8 will air on May 22nd and, due to the damn Eurovision song contest, Episode 9 will be delayed a week from May 29 to June 5 instead.

Firstly, for Episode 7 there is not much information except it seems that Amy is pregnant, possibly with an alien baby, she isn't pregnant in episode 6 or 8+ so what is going on? One theory is that it is set in the future, where Amy and Rory are happily married and awaiting a child? Another rumour is that James Cordon is guest starring in either this episode or episode 11, but at the moment it is TBA

Then, the two parter from Chris Chibnall, well they feature the silurians and possibly hybrid sea devil silurians. It will be set in a futuristic Britian where the great nation live in a city in the clouds, Cloud City? And it seems that the silurians/sea devils continue to live underground in caves... More news soon...

1.6: 'Dalek' Review

So, I now review the sixth episode and arguably one of the most exciting, memorable ones of all time. So, here we go, the Dalek's are back! Well, one is back, and trapped, miles under the surface, in the year 2012, which brings me to my first problem with this episode. Henry Van Statten, or any member of the base has never seen a dalek before, and don't know what they're called, which is funny considering hundreds of millions of them swarmed the Earth in 2006, and they moved the Earth across the galaxy and killed millions two years later... and they don't recognize it... Has Captain Jack been spiking the entire Earth's water supplies with retcon?

Anyway, where to start? Well, the most memorable moment of all Dalek history is in this episode. "ELEVATE!!!" As, for the first time we actually see a Dalek conquer a flight of stairs, over, are the times of stand up comedians taking the mick out of Dalek's and stairs, gone are the countless spoofs and satires featuring daleks trying to get up stairs and The Doctor ad whiny companion, running up and down the same corridor, over and over... Oh, wait, no, as Rose and Adam annoyingly wander the corridors (man they sure put these lifts far apart - and, of course, Dalek's of the 80's could have just used the lifts, duh!)

Along, with the first sightng of a dalek in the new series is the first sighting of the true Doctor, letting the Dalek die, with dignity, oh, and the inside, yes, we see the inside of the Dalek! Anyway, Adam is a nice, fresh addition to the TARDIS team, and I wont lie to you, I was a bit disappointed to see him go in 1.7, to be reviewed tomorrow, but he was of 2012, right, so he might turn up in the 2012 Series (Series Shneveaxh) But Captain Jack is an even nicer addition from 1.9 onwards!

But sticking to this episode at the moment, the moments I loved? Well, I thought Rose really had bit the dust, but the Dalek letting he live. Followed by Van Statten's cowardishness and departure near the end to 'somewhere beginning with S' Oh, and The Doctor finding that he and the Dalek are very similar, a defining moment in the Ninth Doctor's short life. And then there's the first scene, with the arm of the slitheen and the cyberman head! And then, Rose's recognition in 2.5! Ooh, exciting, but that is in the future. And another thing I liked about this was the futuristic technology, which we are not far off from now! Along with the striking similarites with Torchwood

I enjoyed this episode thoroughly and I give this episode an overall rating of: 8/10

Okay, it has vampires and it is set in Venice. It is Rory's first trip in the TARDIS! A script extract can be seen here:

The episode will feature humanoid vampires, and set in the 1600's. It was actually filmed in Croatia last December, and will air on TV on May 8.

1.5: 'World War Three' Review

And now, the review of the second half of the cliffhanger (originally aired April 23rd, 2005) that left a nation wondering, what will happen... Although, the next time trailer at the end of Aliens of London kind of ruined the cliffhanger, along with the fact that there were still another 9 episodes to the series meaning The Doctor couldn't possibly die.

Anyway, fart jokes aside, this concluding part to the first two parter of the new series is just as good as the first, with some great scenes including Jackie looking for vinegar: "Ooh! Pickled Onions!" To The Doctor offering brandy to Rose and Harriet: "Pass it to your left first" Oh, I loved it, from start to finish, yes there were slow parts, but it was still brilliant and word of advice "When you're trying to catch a guy, don't back him up against the lift!"

Anyway, Harriet Jones' bravery was brilliant, along with the intercutting scenes between the residence of the prime minister, to a council flat! Which so works! And Mickey with the baseball bat! Brilliant! Okay, the episodes have got much better over the years, yes, and I would have prefered less Earth based stories but this was still a great episode! And, the first time this aired, I missed it! I know! I couldn't believe it, but I was watching Chitty, Chitty, Bang, Bang! I know!

Anyway, overall score is the same as the last: 8/10! With excellent writing, and acting throughout. And later tonight I review 'Dalek' so stay tuned!

1.4: 'Aliens of London' Review

And now, I continue to review each and every episode of Doctor Who... from 2005! This is Aliens of London, written by Russell T Davies and the first part of the first two parter, with part two World War Three to be reviewed tomorrow! First aired on April 16...

Okay, so the week before, on the next time trailer, Big Ben, BOOM! I'm hooked! Then in the first few minutes we find out Rose has been gone for a whole year! Oh My God! Then a spaceship crashes into Big Ben, then we see all our beloved news and Blue Peter reporters, then Tosh from Torchwood with a spacepig (she's not a doctor, right? The reason she is there is because Owen was drunk - revealed in Torchwood 2.13: Exit Wounds) Then there's 10 Downing Street, Harriet Jones (yes, we know who you are!) Green things in skin suits! Oh, My, God! So much!

And Jackie is my standout character of these episodes! "A Doctor? Stitch this mate!" SLAP! Woo! Go Jackie, and now The Doctor is 900 years old, hmmm... he was almost 1000 back in the late 80's? Perhaps he's as confused as we are! Now, the thing that bugged me about this episode, was the zip. Okay, you don't see it at all, and then all of a sudden there's a great big zip on their foreheads. Oh, but I loved the whole, everyone come round the council flat, stuff. And Rose gets he own TARDIS key, and, oh, the excitement of going to 10 Downing Street! Which brings me to my new topic: Is Gordon Brown an alien?

Anyway, I loved loads of it, from the spaceship crash, to the pig, to the little kid, trying to watch Blue Peter, along with Mickey's cowardness (but, bravery) and Rose's street smarts. This episode was another enjoyable one for myself and I look forward to part 2 tomorrow. My overall rating is: 8/10

1.3: 'The Unquiet Dead' Review

And now, we continue with the countdown to the new series, with The Time Team, as I watch The Unquiet Dead, originally aired April 9! And written by writer of this years Victory of the Daleks Mark Gatiss

Now, first things first, the casting. Spot on! Charles Dickens, fantastic! Brilliant, with a jolly old laugh at the end (oh, I loved that!) And his response to The Doctor's fandom ("Do you want me to get rid of him Sir" "Oh, no, he can stay!") Just brilliant, and Eve Myles as Gwyneth was perfectly cast in this and Torchwood (and the explanation doesn't come up until 4.13: Journey's End.

This episode was good on many levels, and even though a majority of it was a bit chatty and set in one house, I thought it was a brilliant trip to the past. Some of the best bits of Doctor Who are here, from The Doctor's enthusiasm that something horrible is happening, to their talk in the cellar, and to Charles' performance, noting that the ghost in the knocker looked... like THAT! And then there's the second mention of the Bad Wolf, and Gwyneth explaining the metal birds of the future she has seen in her dreams. Oh yes, and Cardiff?!?

Although, slow in some parts, and definitely not the best episode set in the past, I did enjoy it, like all episodes of Doctor Who and my overall rating for this episode, taking into consideration the acting, directing, writing, excitement, scare factor etc. I would give this episode a: 7.5/10

Okay, part one is due to air on April 24, and part two, May 1! And it's the return of many things. For one, River Song is in these two episodes of the four she will be in this series, and perhaps we will get some sort of explanation as to how she recognised David Tennant's Doctor but we never saw them meet properly on screen. I bet it as between The Waters of Mars and The End of Time. Anyway, back in Series Four in the two part "Library" episodes, River talked about many events, one was the crash of Byzantium. And yes, in this two parter, they do witness the crash of byzantium (and actually this was on the first day of filming for Series Fnarg!) Anyway, along with the crash of byzantium are a lot of caves, army men with guns and... The Weeping Angels. Yes, the Moffat created statues are coming back and this time, even if you don't blink you wont survive!

Speculation over whether the series would be numbered 1/5/31/32/11.2/Fnarg as Steven Moffat rejoices as he has a good argument for titling the series as "Series One of Doctor DW Who"

Well, we know that the daleks are back, this episode is set in the World War II times. It is set in 1939, involves Winston Churchill working with the daleks to fight off nazi's! But The Doctor doesn't agree. And a quote from this episode:

"I sent you back into the void, I saved the whole of reality from you, I am The Doctor and you are the DAAAAAAAARRRRRRR-LEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!"

It will air on April 17th! It is written by Mark Gatiss! And pictures from this episode can be seen tomorrow in a screencap guide!

Doctor What? Volume Four

Did you know, that in a deleted scene from "The End of Time, Part Two" Rassillon is killed, and regenerates into Pierce Brosnan. After an argument from Daniel Craig the scene was omitted and all but one copies were burned. I have that copy, and it's on ebay!

Doctor What? Volume Three

Did you know that due to the media attention of Doctor Who, the film was codenamed as anagram: TORCHWOOD. But, I bet you didn't know that...

Due to the popularity of TORCHWOOD in the press, the TORCHWOOD footage was codenamed as anagram: DOCTOR WHO! Unfortunately, this attracted more attention, so a new codename: THE SARAH JANE ADVENTURES was used. Fortunately, all press stayed at least 100ft away.

1.2: 'The End of the World" Review

In continuation of my Doctor Who Marathon and Reviews, I now review Series One: Episode Two: The End of the World

I wont lie to you, this episode, was not my favourite first time round. Aired on April 2nd, and the first off Earth adventure to the year 5 billion, and the end of the world (except it's been the end of the world numerous times before this time period... Anyway, first time around I thought this episode was a bit boring, not much colour, random aliens, but now I find it quite mad, and quite enjoyable. When you look at this, and then you look at an episode of another show, you think. Wow! Doctor Who is the best!

The best line: "I give you the gift of bodily saliva, *hach, puu!*" And when Rose is trapped in that room is it "Stop mucking about" or... something else? Anyway, the standout moments were, the end, the Doctor and the fans (with the inconveniently placed switch - which I thought was a bit silly), then there was when the aliens came in for the first time, and oh, so much. But, of course, I loved Zoe Wanamaker as Cassandra! The bitchy trampoline!

Admittedly, this isn't my favourite of the "Year 5 billion trilogy" But at the time was most likely the most exciting, fantastic episode of Doctor Who in history! With some amazing effects. There is not much more to say about this episode, but more reviews coming soon! My overall rating for this episode is: 7.5/10

1.1: 'Rose' Review

Hello, everybody, are you following my Doctor Who coundown schedule, my plan is to watch all 60 Doctor Who episodes from 2005, and write down my reviews, think of it as The Time Team, which 'sort of' ended at the 1996 Doctor Who TV Movie! So, I'm their replacement. So, here is my review of Series One, Episode One: Rose...

Rose, originally aired, Saturday, March 26th, 2005, the first new Who episode for 16 years. Directed by Keith Boak and written by Russell T Davies. And starring the brilliant Christopher Ecclestone and the wonderful Billie Piper. But, was it any good?

We start off with the new opening credits and theme, back in 2005, this was the most exciting thing ever, I expect this excitement will be repeated this April 3rd. Anyway, I must say, five years on, this episode has aged a bit, the special effects have improved, along with the music, and naturally, the acting, but if you forget about the future, then this really is a fantastic start to the new series of Doctor Who. Re-watching it I now notice some of the funny dialogue, like Jackie, exclaiming that a woman got £2000 of the council because someone said she looked Greek, "I know she is Greek, but that's not the point", and Christopher Ecclestone, looking at a mag and exclaiming "That won't last, he's gay and she's an alien" (Katie Price and Peter Andre I wonder?) --- ------------

There is some good acting throughout, and good writing from Russell T Davies, but there were a few little things throughout that caught my attention. Firstly, Rose, not noticing that her boyfriend is absolutely plastic, although a quick recovery by the clever re-introduction of The Doctor. Yes, there are a few iffy bits, but mostly througout the episode triumphs, rejuvenating Doctor Who, introducing new Doctor, new Companion, new everything. And Clive, oh, poor Clive. But, still a very clever scene which I loved, showing pictures of The Doctor at significant points in time, although what would have been fantastic, would be Rose with him! Ooh!

But I thouroughly enjoyed re-watching 'Rose' and even though it is not the best episode of Doctor Who, it is the episode which helped me fall in love with the show in the first place. And that final scene. "Thanks", "For what?", "Exactly". RTD Gold. Along with some fantastic speaches about the turn of the Earth and the infamous line "If you are an alien, how come you sounds like you're from the North?", "Lot's of planets have a North!"

Now, rating time: Acting: 8/10, Directing: 9/10, Story: 8/10, FX: 7.5/10, Music: 7/10, Writing: 9/10, Overall Mark: 8.5/10
