The announcement came after a shock announcement from Matt Smith that he would quit after just 7 series! Plans for the conception of the 13th Doctor are now underway and it has been reported that the 14th Doctor will not appear on screen, but his mother will, and he will just be a bump.

This is just the start in the recent trend that each new Doctor should be at least 10 years younger than their predecessor. Steven Moffat then added: "And the 15th Doctor will be a miniscule sperm, travelling through time and space, in search of fertilisation!"
Matt Smith will leave the show in Summer 2016, at which point Baby Rhys will be 6 years old, when he will take over the TARDIS
