The Mystery of the Doctor Who Airdate

On Sunday 21st February, just before Top Gear, on BBC2, the BBC aired a trailer for Doctor Who, it was the same one that had aired the day before, but with a difference. The trailer shown on Saturday and that can be seen at the top of this page soon, promoted the next series of Doctor Who as airing at "Easter 2010", but Sunday's showed the airdate! And showed it as "Saturday, 3 April". But, on the Doctor Who website, there had been no announcement, nor on any website. iMdb continues to show March 13th, and Wikipedia (although, who can trust them) continue to show the date as just Easter 2010.

There has been much speculation as to when the next series of Doctor Who would air. Last year, Richard Curtis said that his episode of Doctor Who would air in February. And some reports even said that the series would air in January! There has also been rumours that the BBC are planning to split the series in two and airing half of it in March and the other half in October.

But, all clues point towards:

APRIL 3RD, 2010

So, why are the BBC denying putting out the trailer with the airdate? Well, could it be that the airdate was the wrong one? My money is on the fact that they accidentaly aired the trailer that they were supposed to air a bit closer to April 3rd.

Not to forget the fact that all other series of Doctor Who have started on Easter Saturday! So, we have 40 days to go! But could it be sooner? Are BBC denying putting out this trailer because the date had not been confirmed and The Moff wanted the series to start airing on March 20th or 27th? Don't forget "Spring 2010" is from March 20th.
